Huntington Story

On Wednesday at around 10 p.m. 53 year old Janice Jones was shot when her Pomeranian, Tombo, knocked a 9 mm handgun on the ground and it fired into her leg in Barstow, California.
The weapon discharged when it hit the floor and passed through Jones leg into her vehicle.
“It could have been worse,” Rye said. “The bullet hit two inches from the gas tank.”
Afterwards Jones was transported to Huntington Beach Hospital and later was transported to Irvine medical Center. She was shot in her left leg. Jim Washington, a spokesman for Huntington Beach Hospital, confirmed she was treated at the hospital but gave no additional information.
“It could have done with a little less abuse" said Animal control officer Janet Ngo. "and a few more of those pork chops.”
The dog seemed to be malnourished and had fresh cigarette burns on its forehead. Ngo indicated that her office would explore filling abuse charges against Jones.
